Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
