Nearly 25,000 households in Queensland's southeast were left experiencing outages on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events passed over the state, producing powerful gusts reaching 109 kilometers per hour.

Emergency response teams responded to 598 calls for help across the region, mainly for structural issues but also for fallen timber and water accumulation.

During the peak on yesterday, more than 28k electricity consumers in Victoria were lacking electricity.
Meteorological Predictions
Moist weather were forecast to persist along significant areas of Queensland's east this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to pull in damp air against the coastal areas.
The following day was expected to become the wettest day, with persistent thunderstorm potential anticipated across different parts of both regions.
Health Warning
Public health experts alerted that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, particularly given the ongoing climate situation.
This alert comes after historical occurrences where analogous circumstances led to significant health impacts in the region.
